Journal ArticleDOI
Ionizing radiation induces astrocyte gliosis through microglia activation.
So-Young Hwang,Jae Seob Jung,Tae Hyun Kim,Soo Jeong Lim,Eok Soo Oh,Joo-Young Kim,Kyung Ae Ji,Eun Hye Joe,Kwan Ho Cho,Inn-Oc Han +9 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that radiation-induced microglial activation and resultant production of PGE2 seems to be associated with an underlying cause of inflammatory complications associated with radiation therapy for malignant gliomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-dose versus fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy for brain metastases.
Yeon-Joo Kim,Kwan Ho Cho,Joo-Young Kim,Young Kyung Lim,Hye Sook Min,Sang Hyun Lee,Ho-Jin Kim,Ho Shin Gwak,Heon Yoo,Seung Hoon Lee +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that FSRT can particularly be beneficial for patients with large lesions or lesions located near critical structures, and further investigation is warranted to determine the optimal dose/fractionation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dose-volumetric Parameters for Predicting Severe Radiation Pneumonitis after Three-dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy for Lung Cancer
Tae Hyun Kim,Kwan Ho Cho,Hong Ryull Pyo,Jin Soo Lee,Jae Ill Zo,Dae Ho Lee,Jong Mog Lee,Hyae Young Kim,Bin Hwangbo,Sung-Yong Park,Joo-Young Kim,Kyung Hwan Shin,Dae Yong Kim +12 more
TL;DR: MLD is a useful indicator of risk for development of severe RP after 3D conformal radiation therapy in patients with lung cancer and is associated with severe RP in multivariate analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-apoptotic protein TCTP controls the stability of the tumor suppressor p53
Seung Bae Rho,Jeong Heon Lee,Mi Sun Park,Hyun-Jung Byun,Sokbom Kang,Sang-Soo Seo,Joo-Young Kim,Sang Yoon Park +7 more
TL;DR: TCTP physically interacts with p53 by interacting with anti tag coimmunoprecipitation by two hybrid TCTP particles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CA9) modulates tumor-associated cell migration and invasion
TL;DR: The results suggest that CA9 overexpression induces weakening of cell adhesions and augmented cell motility by aberrant Rho-GTPase signal transduction by showing an underlying mechanism of CA9-related enhanced metastatic potential of tumor cells.
