Can Massive Gravitons be an Alternative to Dark Energy

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explore some cosmological implications of the model proposed by M. Visser in 1998 and show that an accelerated expansion phase naturally emerges from the cosmology model, and they do not need to postulate any kind of dark energy to explain the current observational data for distant type Ia supernovae (SNIa).
Journal ArticleDOI

Extra polarization states of cosmological gravitational waves in alternative theories of gravity

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derive the dynamical equations for cosmological GWs for two specific theories, namely, a general scalar-tensor theory which presents four polarization states and a massive bimetric theory which is in the most general case with six polarization states for GWs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Star formation rate density and the stochastic background of gravitational waves

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors argue that the inclusion of this additional term is wrong and that it would account for the effect of cosmic expansion onto the time variable, which is the main ingredient in such studies, which gives the density of stars formed per unit time.
