A Comparative Study of Localization Methods in Indoor Environments
Josefa Gomez,Abdelhamid Tayebi,Antonio del Corte,Óscar Ramón Ramos Gutiérrez,Jose Manuel Gomez,Francisco Saez de Adana +5 more
TL;DR: A comparative study, based on three different measurements, to compute the unknown position of mobile stations in indoor environments is presented, to obtain high precision in the localization by means of alternative methods to the received signal strength classical measurement.
An Improved MM-PO Method with UV Technique for Scattering from an Electrically Large Ship on a Rough Sea Surface at Low Grazing Angle

Elsherbeni +43 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an improved MM-PO-UV hybrid method is developed to calculate the bistatic scattering from the two-dimensional composite model of an electrically large ship (ELS) on a one-dimensional (1-D) rough sea surface at a low grazing angle.
Book ChapterDOI
Enhancing the Localization Precision in Aircraft Parking Areas of Airports through Advanced Ray-Tracing Techniques
TL;DR: New algorithms for localization based on fingerprinting techniques are proposed that, using the available WLAN infrastructure and the ray-tracing multipath information provided by newFASANT simulation tool, allow increasing accuracy and safety in outdoor areas of the airports.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
High-accuracy localization based on the dominant rays of ray-tracing over fingerprinting techniques
TL;DR: A new localization method based on fingerprinting techniques using the multipath ray-profile due to effects of the ray-tracing as cost function instead of power levels measurements over the received signal strength is proposed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Identification of clusters in the fingerprinting method using power measurements
María Jesús Algar,Óscar Ramón Ramos Gutiérrez,Miguel Ángel Navarro,Jose Manuel Gomez,Francisco Saez de Adana +4 more
TL;DR: This work made measurements into an office scenario and it was used cluster identification method to define the fingerprints and two clustering algorithms, k-means and rek-me means was implemented in order to compare both methods.
