Serological Differentiation of Experimentally Induced Candida dubliniensis and Candida albicans Infections

TL;DR: Using a rabbit model of systemic infection, it is shown that it is possible to differentiate infections caused by Candida dubliniensis and other Candida species by detecting the antibody response mounted by the infected animals, and suggests that detection of C. dublinienis-specific antibodies is useful in the diagnosis of invasive candidiasis caused by this yeast.

Virulotyping of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi isolates from Pakistan: Absence of complete SPI-10 in Vi negative isolates.

TL;DR: The virulence potential and genetic relatedness of 35 S. Typhi isolates collected from 2004 to 2013 was determined by identification of SPI and non-SPI virulence factors through a combination of techniques including virulotyping, Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), and Variable Number of Tandem Repeats (VNTR) profiling.
