TL;DR: A review of photographic methods in management research can be found in this paper, where the authors identify two dimensions that differentiate how photographs have been used in management journals: the role of field participants can be one of active collaboration or no involvement in the photographic aspect of the qualitative research project, and field subjects can collaborate in research by aiding in the photo-documentation process and/or aiding in photo-elicitation process.

Participation in decision making one more time: A look at hospital decision making and performance
TL;DR: Examination of the participation of multiple stakeholder groups in each of five stages of hospital decision making and its effect on two measures of hospital financial performance found that increased participation in some stages of decision making positively affected performance, while increased Participation in other stages had no effect and in one case a negative effect.
