Journal ArticleDOI

Drop-on-demand patterning of bacterial cells using pulsed jet electrospraying.

TL;DR: By enabling drop-on-demand patterning and manipulation of single bacterial cells on a raw wafer in the gas phase, this new technique broadens the scope of biological experiments beyond liquid phase treatments to solid and gas-phase treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and characterization of a fungal bioaerosol generator using multi-orifice air jets and a rotating substrate

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that the fungal bioaerosol generator can produce mono-dispersed fungalBioaerosols under various experimental conditions and that it is possible to control the rates of production of fungal biosols by adjusting the flow rate through thefungal generator and the rotating speed of the substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of an electrospray for the generation of bacterial bioaerosols

TL;DR: In this paper, a new idea of generating bacteria bioaerosols by utilizing an electrospray method was suggested and tested in a cone-jet mode, where liquid suspensions containing Staphylococcus epidermidis and Escherichia coli bacteria were sprayed by means of a specially designed electrosplay system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Generation characteristics of fungal spore and fragment bioaerosols by airflow control over fungal cultures

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the generation characteristics of airborne fungal fragments and spores by means of a newly developed fungal bioaerosol generation system that directs airflow to the fungal cultures horizontally.
