Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide association study and candidate gene analysis of rice cadmium accumulation in grain in a diverse rice collection

TL;DR: expression analysis of OsNRAMP2, the candidate gene of the novel QTL (qCd3–2) identified in the present study, demonstrated that Os NRAMP2 was mainly induced in the shoots of high Cd accumulation accessions after Cd treatment, and it is speculated that OsNRamp2 could be a novel functional gene associated with CD accumulation in rice.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel functional gene associated with cold tolerance at the seedling stage in rice

TL;DR: The results suggest that Os09g0410300 is the functional gene underlying qCTS‐9, a novel gene contributed to enhance cold tolerance at the seedling stage in rice.
Journal ArticleDOI

The germin-like protein OsGLP2-1 enhances resistance to fungal blast and bacterial blight in rice.

TL;DR: This is the first report that GLP gene (OsGLP2-1) is involved in panicle blast and bacterial blight resistance in rice and it is reported that one of the rice GLP genes, OsGLP1-1, was significantly induced by blast fungus and functions as a positive regulator to modulate disease resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of QTLs for cold tolerance at seedling stage in rice (Oryza sativa L.) using two distinct methods of cold treatment

TL;DR: The results suggest that rice cold tolerance mechanisms at the seedling stage differ between the two environments, but the detection of common QTL implies the existence of overlap in the metabolic pathways for cold tolerance.
