Another Return of 'Return to Equilibrium'

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the property of "{it return to equilibrium}" for a class of quantum-mechanical models describing interactions of a toy atom with black-body radiation, or of a spin with a heat bath of scalar bosons, under the assumption that the interaction strength is sufficiently weak.

Some recent rigorous results in the theory of phase transitions and critical phenomena

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present conditions générales d'utilisation, i.e., toute utilisation commerciale ou impression systématique is constitutive d'une infraction pénale.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the Absence of Excited Eigenstates of Atoms in QED

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple proof of absence of excited eigenstates with energies above the ground state energy and below the ionization threshold of an atom is presented, based on a multi-scale virial argument and exploits the fact that, in perturbation theory, excited atomic states decay by emission of one or two photons.

The phase structure of the large n lattice Higgs model

TL;DR: In this article, the SU(n) and U(n)-Lattice Higgs model with Higgs potential λ|φ|4 − (μ22)|φ |2 was considered and it was shown that the model undergoes a first order phase transition characterised by a jump of the expectation value of λ, provided λ is smaller than a certain critical value λ0.
