An electrohydraulic transmission control apparatus (10) that produces, controls and directs hydraulic pressure inputs to the clutches, brakes and shift mechanisms of an automatic transmission to shift the transmission. A module body (14) supports control apparatus components and is removably mountable to a transmission housing (16) of the transmission. The module body (14) defines a plurality of fluid conduits (28). A plurality of control valves (26) is disposed on the module body (14) and meter hydraulic fluid through the conduits (28) to brake and clutch hydraulic cylinders and shift mechanisms in the transmission. A plurality of solenoid-operated control valves (26) is also disposed on the module body. A controller (34) disposed on the module body is connected to the solenoids (30) and controls the valves by operating the solenoids (30) in accordance with inputs received from sensors (36-44) that detect various factors representing the running state of the transmission and the vehicle it's mounted in. A hydraulic oil pump (56) integrated into the apparatus (10) provides pressurized hydraulic oil to the control valves (26) and includes internal controller (34) software that directs calibration of the apparatus.

Transmission control apparatus

A pressure support system that includes a first housing member and a second housing member. The first housing member has a first plurality of cavities defined therein, and the second housing member has a second plurality of cavities defined therein. The first and second plurality of cavities cooperate to define (a) a first chamber adapted to receive a first component of the pressure support system, (b) a second chamber adapted to receive a second component of the pressure support system, and (c) a first conduit connecting the first component and the second in fluid communication when the first and second housing members are assembled. A fastening system secures the first and second housing members in an assembled relation.

There is provided, in one aspect of the present description, an automatic transmission. In one example, the automatic transmission comprises a transmission case, a valve body which is arranged in the transmission case, a control valve mechanism which controls oil pressures in parts of the automatic transmission and is installed in the valve body, and a solenoid valve which is attached to the valve body and is arranged at a first side of the valve body and in the transmission case. The automatic transmission further comprises an electronic control unit which controls the solenoid valve, is attached to the valve body, and is arranged at a second side of the valve body that is opposite to the first side across the valve body.

A resin-sealed electronic circuit apparatus capable of maintaining a high heat-dissipating property and packaging density in applications where high hermetic-sealing property and durability are required. The electronic circuit apparatus comprises at least two wiring circuit boards 12 and 13 on which electronic components are mounted. The wiring circuit boards 12 and 13 are fixed to a heat sink 14 having a high heat conductivity via an adhesive 9 and 10. The entirety of the wiring circuit boards 12 and 13 and heat sink 14, as well as a part of an external connection terminal 8 are hermetically sealed and integrally molded by a thermosetting resin composition 7. The electronic circuit apparatus is small and highly reliable and can be provided at low cost.

A pressure control valve has an inlet pressure connection (11), a control pressure connection (13) and a consumer pressure connection (12). An actuator is provided and according to its size, a valve element (24) can be moved in a displacement direction (axis 23-23). A compensation element compensates the effects of those possible fluctuations of the intake pressure on the pressure ratios at the consumer pressure connection (12) and/or at the control pressure connection (13).
