Comparison of interferon-γ-, interleukin (IL)-17- and IL-22-expressing CD4 T cells, IL-22-expressing granulocytes and proinflammatory cytokines during latent and active tuberculosis infection.
Juthaporn Cowan,S.S. Pandey,Lionel G. Filion,Jonathan B. Angel,Jonathan B. Angel,Ashok Kumar,Ashok Kumar,D. W. Cameron,D. W. Cameron +8 more
TL;DR: The basal proportion of interferon (IFN)‐γ‐, interleukin (IL)‐17‐ and IL‐22‐expressing CD4+ T cells and IL-22‐ expressing granulocytes in peripheral blood were significantly lower in latently infected healthy individuals and active tuberculosis patients compared to healthy controls, and proinflammatory IFN‐γ and tumour necrosis factor (TNF)‐α were increased following antigen stimulation in latent infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
COVID-19 and post-infectious myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome: a narrative review
TL;DR: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral infection which can cause a variety of respiratory, gastrointestinal, and vascular symptoms, and the acute illness phase generally lasts no more than 2-3 days as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: Ig treatment appears to decrease the frequency of moderate and severe recurrent A ECOPD, and a prospective, controlled evaluation of adjunctive Ig treatment to standard therapy of recurrent AECOPD is warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pierre R. Bourque,Pierre R. Bourque,C. E. Pringle,C. E. Pringle,William Cameron,William Cameron,William Cameron,Juthaporn Cowan,Juthaporn Cowan,J. Warman Chardon +9 more
TL;DR: Subcutaneous Immunoglobulins (SCIg) may be a beneficial therapy in the chronic management of MG, with favorable clinical outcome and patient satisfaction results.
