Journal ArticleDOI

Coded EXcitation with spectrum inversion (CEXSI) for ultrasound array imaging

TL;DR: A formulation of the scheme, according to which CEXSI can be extended to improve SNR in sparse array imaging in general, and its potential to achieve excellent decoding with very low (<80 dB) side-lobes is demonstrated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Coded EXcitation with Spectrum Inversion (CEXSI) to improve SNR in sparse array imaging

TL;DR: In this article, a forward-viewing ring-annular array for intravascular ultrasound imaging is proposed, which involves a total of 210 transceiver firings per frame, and an additional 10 dB SNR improvement is required.
