Soil contamination of heavy metals in the Katedan Industrial Development Area, Hyderabad, India

TL;DR: The pre- and post-monsoon sampling over two hydrological cycles in 2002 and 2003 indicate that the As, Cd and Pb contaminants are more mobile and may expect to reach the groundwater.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distribution, correlation, ecological and health risk assessment of heavy metal contamination in surface soils around an industrial area, Hyderabad, India

TL;DR: In this article, a study was conducted to investigate distribution of potentially hazardous elements (PHEs) (As, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn) concentration in soils of Kazipalli, Hyderabad, India.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of heavy metal contamination in soils around chromite mining areas, Nuggihalli, Karnataka, India

TL;DR: In this paper, the pollution load of toxic heavy metals (As, Ba, Co, Cr, Cu, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sr, V, Zn and Zr) in 57 soil samples collected around three different active (Tagdur), abandoned (Jambur) chromite mining sites as well residential zone around Chikkondanahalli of the Nuggihalli Schist Belt, Karnataka, India.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monitoring of multi-class pesticide residues in fresh grape samples using liquid chromatography with electrospray tandem mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this article, a sensitive and selective liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS-MS) method was developed for the routine analysis of 10 multi-class pesticides residues (imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, chlorpyrifos, dimethoate, monocrotophos, metalaxyl, methomyl, hexaconazole, myclobutanil, carbendazim) in fresh grape samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk assessment of heavy metals and their source distribution in waters of a contaminated industrial site

TL;DR: Investigation of distribution of potentially hazardous, heavy metal concentrations in surface and groundwater samples collected during summer and winter seasons from an industrially contaminated site, Hyderabad, India found that these elements were safe for drinking purposes provided some water treatment methodologies are adopted.
