Modeling of technology adoption in Botswana

TL;DR: In this article, an agent-based methodological approach is proposed to outline an alternative technology adoption framework based on complex adaptive networks, where actors, factors, goals, and adaptive learning influences driving solar energy technology adoption process are first substantiated by empirical evidence gathered using field questionnaires and then incorporated in the simulation of a dynamic complex adaptive network of SETA.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Strategy for analysis and design of a digital robust controller for nonlinear control systems

TL;DR: This paper proposes a strategy for the analysis and design of a nonlinear robust control system with variable parameters, founded on introduction of system compensation with two degrees of freedom, and demonstrates significant improvement in the system performance in terms of insensitivity to variations of the system parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis and Design of a Photovoltaic Tracker System

TL;DR: In this article, a robust tracking control system that will point the photovoltaic modules to the brightest point in the sky is proposed. But this objective is achieved by the design of a specialized robust controller and application of the D-partitioning analysis method.
Journal ArticleDOI

eLearning hands-on: blending interactive eLearning with practical engineering laboratory

TL;DR: The UniTrain-I, blending a multimedia information and communication technology (ICT)-based interactive eLearner-content philosophy with practical laboratory experimentation, is recommended for meeting the paper’s dual eLearning goal as the most adept framework to-date.
Journal ArticleDOI

Advanced Interactive Tools for Analysis and Design of Nonlinear Robust Control Systems

TL;DR: In this article, an innovative robust controller design is accomplished by a number of successive steps, based on the difference equations of its stages, the robust controller is realized by two microcontrollers and the method of the D-partitioning and the describing-function stability analysis, as well as robust assessment are applied before and after the robust compensation.
