Efficient oxygen-atom transfer agent: photochemical hydroxylation of benzene derivatives by pyrimido[5,4-g]pteridine n-oxide
TL;DR: Pyrimido[5,4- g ]pteridine N -oxide (1) oxidizes efficiently benzene, toluene, and anisole under UV irradiation to give the corresponding phenol derivatives 4, though the easiness of the reaction significantly depends upon the nature of the substituents on the benzene ring.

Photochemical intramolecular cyclisation of purine and pyrimidine nucleosides induced by an electron acceptor
TL;DR: In the presence of pyrimido[5,4-g]pteridine Noxide with visible light, the exclusive formation of the corresponding 5′-O,8-cyclopurine nucleosides (3) and 5'O,6-cyclocytidine (4a) was obtained as mentioned in this paper.
