A Novel Automated Platform for Quantifying the Extent of Skeletal Tumour Involvement in Prostate Cancer Patients Using the Bone Scan Index.
David Ulmert,Reza Kaboteh,Josef J. Fox,Caroline O. S. Savage,Michael J. Evans,Hans Lilja,Per-Anders Abrahamsson,Thomas Björk,Axel Gerdtsson,Anders Bjartell,Peter Gjertsson,Peter Höglund,Milan Lomsky,Mattias Ohlsson,Jens Richter,May Sadik,Michael J. Morris,Howard I. Scher,Karl Sjöstrand,Alice Yu,Madis Suurküla,Lars Edenbrandt,Lars Edenbrandt,Steven M. Larson +23 more
TL;DR: Automated B SI scoring, with its 100% reproducibility, reduces turnaround time, eliminates operator-dependent subjectivity, and provides important clinical information comparable to that of manual BSI scoring is found.
Journal ArticleDOI
SpaSM: A MATLAB Toolbox for Sparse Statistical Modeling
Karl Sjöstrand,Line Katrine Harder Clemmensen,Rasmus Larsen,Gudmundur Einarsson,Bjarne Kjær Ersbøll +4 more
TL;DR: This toolbox aims at making public available carefully implemented and well-tested variants of the most popular of such methods for the MATLAB programming environment which consist of easy-to-read yet efficient implementations of various coefficient-path following algorithms and implementations of sparse principal component analysis and sparse discriminant analysis which are not available in MATLAB.
Journal ArticleDOI
White Matter Changes Contribute to Corpus Callosum Atrophy in the Elderly: The LADIS Study
Charlotte Ryberg,Egill Rostrup,Karl Sjöstrand,Olaf B. Paulson,Frederik Barkhof,Philip Scheltens,E.C.W. van Straaten,Franz Fazekas,R. Schmidt,Timo Erkinjuntti,Lars-Olof Wahlund,A. M. Basile,Leonardo Pantoni,Domenico Inzitari,Gunhild Waldemar +14 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the potential correlation between regional age-related white matter changes (ARWMC) and atrophy of corpus callosum in elderly subjects with leukoaraiosis suggested that ARWMC may lead to a gradual loss of CC tissue.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computer-aided diagnosis system for bone scintigrams from Japanese patients: importance of training database
TL;DR: The CAD software trained with a Japanese database for bone scans showed significantly higher performance than the corresponding CAD softwaretrained with a European database for the analysis of bone scans from Japanese patients.
