Studies on mechanical, thermal and dynamic mechanical properties of untreated (raw) and treated coconut sheath fiber reinforced epoxy composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the treated coconut sheath fiber reinforced epoxy composite (TCSE) has been fabricated using hand layup followed by compression molding technique and the prepared specimens were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sensitive fluorescence detection of mercury(II) in aqueous solution by the fluorescence quenching effect of MoS2 with DNA functionalized carbon dots
TL;DR: The present MoS2 nanosheet/DNA/carbon dot nanoassembly is highly selective toward Hg2+ ions over a wide range of metal ions tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 1.0 M hydrochloric acid medium by new photo-cross-linkable polymers
TL;DR: In this article, photo-cross-linkable polymers were synthesized by click-chemistry and characterized by using various spectroscopic techniques and the rate of cross-linking was evaluated by absorption spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser alloying of aluminium with electrodeposited nickel: optimisation of plating thickness and processing parameters
TL;DR: In this paper, commercial-purity aluminium (CP-Al) was laser alloyed with electrodeposited nickel using a high-power CW CO 2 laser, achieving a Vickers hardness of 300-950 HV, considerably higher than the base aluminium hardness of 35 HV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, photophysical and electrochemical properties of polyimides of tetraaryl imidazole
TL;DR: In this article, a series of new fluorescent polyimides (PI) were prepared by polymerization of the tetra substituted imidazole diamines with tetracarboxylic dianhydrides, such as pyromellitic dian hydride, naphthalene tetra carboxyly Dianhydride and perylene tetra CARB.
