TL;DR: In this article, a simple model of second harmonic generation is solved for the fundamental frequency light of various statistical properties, and it is found that within the class considered, a field in the state of squeezed vacuum generates the second harmonic most efficiently.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated stimulated Raman scattering in a high-Q ring cavity in the linear case and found a departure from the exponential probability distribution of the Stokes light statistics.
Abstract: We have investigated stimulated Raman scattering in a high-Q ring cavity in the linear case. Both transient and steady-state behaviors are discussed. Enhancement of the Stokes light in comparison to the single-pass cell is stressed. A departure from the exponential probability distribution of the Stokes light statistics is found.

TL;DR: In this paper, a model of strong bound-free coupling by a stochastic train of delta-function impulses is solved analytically, and the model can be used to describe transitions caused by strong isolated collisions.
Abstract: A model of strong bound-free coupling by a stochastic train of delta-function impulses is solved analytically. The model can be used to describe transitions caused by strong isolated collisions. The decay of bound-state population and photoelectron spectra is discussed, and the limits of the applicability of Fermi’s Golden Rule are evaluated. It turns out that the results depend nontrivially on the statistics of the driving signal.
