Flexible and Incremental Sheet Metal Bulging using a Path-Controlled Spherical Roller

TL;DR: In this paper, a flexible and incremental sheet metal bulging machine using a path-controlled spherical roller was developed for the small-batch manufacture of nonsymmetrical shallow shells, which performed a wide range of sheet metal shaping on complex shapes, for example, pyramidal shells, shells of the frustum of a pyramid, shallow pans and embossed panels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Method of joining sheets by using new type rivets

TL;DR: In this article, a pipe rivet is set between two sheets and compressive force is applied, then both ends of the pipe are impressed into the sheets, respectively, and joining is made.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flexible and Inclemental Sheet Metal Bulging Using a Few Spherical Rollers.

TL;DR: In this article, a flexible and incremental sheet metal bulging machine using a few spherical rollers was developed for the small-batch manufacture of nonsymmetrical shallow shells, and for eliminating the necessity of the forming die and punch.
