Journal ArticleDOI
Clinicopathological significance of the CRTC3-MAML2 fusion transcript in mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
Takahisa Nakayama,Satoru Miyabe,Satoru Miyabe,Mitsukuni Okabe,Hidenori Sakuma,Hidenori Sakuma,Kei Ijichi,Yasuhisa Hasegawa,Hitoshi Nagatsuka,Kazuo Shimozato,Hiroshi Inagaki +10 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed that the clinicopathological features of CRTC1–MAML2-positive mucoepidermoid carcinomas indicated an indolent course, and CRTC3–MamL2 fusion, which is mutually exclusive withCRTC1-MAMl2 fusion and specific to mucoEPidermoids carcinoma, may be detected more frequently than previously expected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acquisition of EMT phenotype in the gefitinib-resistant cells of a head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell line through Akt/GSK-3β/snail signalling pathway.
Shinichiro Maseki,Kei Ijichi,H Tanaka,M Fujii,Y Hasegawa,Tetsuya Ogawa,Shingo Murakami,Eisaku Kondo,Hayao Nakanishi +8 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that EMT in the gefitinib-resistant cells is mediated by the downregulation of EGFR and compensatory activation of Akt/GSK-3β/snail pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic Significance of p27Kip1, Ki-67, and CRTC1 MAML2 Fusion Transcript in Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma: A Molecular and Clinicopathologic Study of 101 Cases
Satoru Miyabe,Mitsukuni Okabe,Hitoshi Nagatsuka,Yasuhisa Hasegawa,Akira Inagaki,Kei Ijichi,Noriyuki Nagai,Tadaaki Eimoto,Motoo Yokoi,Kazuo Shimozato,Hiroshi Inagaki +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the prognostic significance of p27 Kip1, Ki-67, and CRTC1 (also called MECT1, TORC1, and WAMTP1 )-MAML2 fusion in Mucoepidermoid carcinoma was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Warthin-like Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma: A Combined Study of Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization and Whole-slide Imaging.
Kenichiro Ishibashi,Yohei Ito,Ayako Masaki,Kana Fujii,Shintaro Beppu,Takeo Sakakibara,Hisashi Takino,Hiroshi Takase,Kei Ijichi,Kazuo Shimozato,Hiroshi Inagaki +10 more
TL;DR: A subset of mWT-like tumors were positive for the CRTC1-MAML2 fusion and had many features that are more in accord with MEC than with WT, and the term Warthin-like MEC should be considered for fusion-positive m WT- like tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
MYB, MYBL1, MYBL2 and NFIB gene alterations and MYC overexpression in salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma
Kana Fujii,Takayuki Murase,Shintaro Beppu,Kosuke Saida,Hisashi Takino,Ayako Masaki,Kei Ijichi,Kimihide Kusafuka,Yoshiyuki Iida,Tetsuro Onitsuka,Yasushi Yatabe,Nobuhiro Hanai,Yasuhisa Hasegawa,Hiroshi Inagaki +13 more
TL;DR: This study examined alterations of AdCC‐associated genes, MYB, MYBL1, MyBL2 and NFIB, and their target molecules, including MYC, and the results were correlated to clinicopathological profile of the patients.
