Diagnostic accuracy of rest/stress ECG-gated Rb-82 myocardial perfusion PET: Comparison with ECG-gated Tc-99m sestamibi SPECT
Timothy M. Bateman,Gary V. Heller,A. Iain McGhie,John D. Friedman,J.A. Case,Jan R. Bryngelson,Ginger K. Hertenstein,Kelly L. Moutray,Kimberly Reid,S. James Cullom +9 more
TL;DR: In a large population of matched pharmacologic stress patients, myocardial perfusion PET was superior to SPECT in image quality, interpretive certainty, and diagnostic accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical value of attenuation correction in stress-only Tc-99m sestamibi SPECT imaging☆
Gary V. Heller,Timothy M. Bateman,Lynne L. Johnson,S. James Cullom,J.A. Case,James R. Galt,Ernest V. Garcia,Keith Haddock,Kelly L. Moutray,Carlos Poston,E.H. Botvinick,Matthews Fish,William P. Follansbee,Sean W. Hayes,Ami E. Iskandrian,John J. Mahmarian,William VanDecker +16 more
TL;DR: Attenuation correction applied to studies with stress-only Tc-99m ECG-gated single photon emission computed tomography images significantly increases the ability to interpret studies as definitely normal or abnormal and reduces the need for rest imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Value of attenuation correction on ECG-gated SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging related to body mass index.
Randall C. Thompson,Gary V. Heller,Lynne L. Johnson,J.A. Case,S. James Cullom,Ernest V. Garcia,Philip G. Jones,Kelly L. Moutray,Timothy M. Bateman +8 more
TL;DR: This study demonstrates that electrocardiography-gated attenuation-corrected Tc-99m sestamibi SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging improves specificity compared with electrocardsiology- gated non-attenuation-Corrected SPECTmyocardial perfume imaging, especially in patients with BMI of 30 or greater.
