Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of premature senescence in cardiomyocytes by doxorubicin as a novel mechanism of myocardial damage
TL;DR: Findings indicate a novel mechanism of myocardial dysfunction induced by oxidative stress, and found that promyelocytic leukemia protein and acetylated p53, key proteins involved in stress‐induced premature senescence in proliferating cells, were associated with cellular alterations of senescences in DOX‐treated cardiomyocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of FDG PET-CT in Takayasu arteritis: sensitive detection of recurrences
Daisuke Tezuka,Go Haraguchi,Takashi Ishihara,Hirokazu Ohigashi,Hiroshi Inagaki,Jun-ichi Suzuki,Kenzo Hirao,Mitsuaki Isobe +7 more
TL;DR: FDG-PET/CT is useful for detection of active inflammation not only in patients with active TA before treatment but also in relapsing patients receiving immunosuppressive agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation between electroencephalography and heart rate variability during sleep.
Mina Ako,Tokuhiro Kawara,Sunao Uchida,Shinichi Miyazaki,Kyoko Nishihara,Junko Mukai,Kenzo Hirao,Junya Ako,Yoshiro Okubo +8 more
TL;DR: Delta EEG power showed negative correlations with LF and LF/HF, suggesting that sympathetic nervous activities continuously fluctuate in accordance with sleep deepening and lightening.

Guidelines for Non-Pharmacotherapy of Cardiac Arrhythmias (JCS 2011) : Digest Version
Ken Okumura,Yoshifusa Aizawa,Kazutaka Aonuma,Nobuhisa Hagiwara,Fumitaka Isobe,Takao Katoh,Kazuo Matsumoto,Yuji Murakawa,Takashi Nitta,Satoshi Ohnishi,Akihiko Shimizu,Kenzo Hirao,Toshiyuki Ishikawa,Toru Iwa,Takashi Kurita,Kengo Kusano,Yoshihide Nakamura,Yuji Nakazato,Shinichi Niwano,Shingo Sasaki,Tsuyoshi Shiga,Morio Shoda,Naokata Sumitomo,Jun Umemura,Hiroshi Kasanuki,Takeshi Kimura,Itsuo Kodama,Tohru Ohe,Shigeo Tanaka +28 more
TL;DR: Three-dimensional (3D) mapping systems that have been developed since the 1990 s have contributed to the clarification of the mechanisms of these complex arrhythmias and the improvement of the outcome of ablation procedures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Longterm Safety of Tocilizumab: Results from 3 Years of Followup Postmarketing Surveillance of 5573 Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis in Japan
Kazuhiko Yamamoto,Hajime Goto,Kenzo Hirao,Atsuo Nakajima,Hideki Origasa,K. Tanaka,Minako Tomobe,Kyoichi Totsuka +7 more
TL;DR: The safety profile of TCZ was consistent over time regarding mortality, serious infections, malignancy, gastrointestinal perforation, and serious cardiac dysfunction, and these data confirm the longterm safety ofTCZ use in patients with RA in a real-world clinical setting.
