TL;DR: In this article, a critique of localism was examined during the economic crisis in Thailand and its political strength and its potential to provide an alternative economic model for Thailand, but it was found that while localism develops a useful moral argument regarding the impact of neoliberal globalization, it is unable to develop a sound alternative model.
