Journal ArticleDOI
Total Synthesis of Anti-HIV Agent Chloropeptin I
TL;DR: A convergent diastereo- and enantioselective total synthesis of anti-HIV agent chloropeptin I is reported, performed in the presence of four unprotected phenols, two of which reside on dichlorophenylglycines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Search for chiral catalysts through ligand diversity : substrate-specific catalysts and ligand screening on solid phase

Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanism of enantioselective Ti-catalyzed Strecker reaction: peptide-based metal complexes as bifunctional catalysts.
TL;DR: Kinetic, structural, and stereochemical data regarding the mechanism of Ti-catalyzed addition of cyanide to imines in the presence of Schiff base peptide ligands illustrate that these non-C2-symmetric catalysts likely operate in a bifunctional fashion.
