TL;DR: In this article, two organometallic terpyridyl platinum gelators containing hydrophobic cholesterol with or without large steric hindrance were synthesized and characterized, and the spectral and structural variation was characterized by UV-visible and fluorescence spectra, SEM and TEM images.
