The relationship between maternal depressive, anxious, and stress symptoms during pregnancy and adult offspring behavioral and emotional problems.

Maternal depressive, anxious, and stress symptoms during pregnancy predict internalizing problems in adolescence
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived longitudinal trajectories of maternal depressive, anxious, and stress symptoms over early life to predict offspring behavior in adolescence and found evidence for a prenatal effect, whereby high levels of maternal depression, anxiety, and stressful symptoms in early pregnancy uniquely increased the risk of internalizing behavior problems in adolescence.

Rosa Alati,Peter Baker,Kim Betts,Jason P. Connor,Keriann Little,Ann Sanson,Craig A. Olsson,Craig A. Olsson,Craig A. Olsson +8 more
