Journal ArticleDOI
One-dimensional titanium dioxide nanomaterials: nanotubes.
TL;DR: The present review tries to give a comprehensive and most up to date view to the field, with an emphasis on the currently most investigated anodic TiO2 nanotube arrays.
Journal ArticleDOI
TiO2 nanotubes and their application in dye-sensitized solar cells
TL;DR: The present article reviews the current status of using TiO(2) nanotubes in Grätzel-type, dye-sensitized solar cells and extends the overview with the latest results and findings.

Anodic Formation of Thick Anatase TiO2 Mesosponge Layers for High-Efficiency Photocatalysis
Kiyoung Lee,Doohun Kim,Poulomi Roy,Indhumati Paramasivam,Balaji Birajdar,Erdmann Spiecker,Patrik Schmuki +6 more
TL;DR: A process for the fabrication of an anatase TiO(2) mesosponge (TMS) layer by an optimized Ti anodization process in a hot glycerol electrolyte followed by a suitable etching process, which shows high photocatalytic activity and are mechanically very robust.
Journal ArticleDOI
One-dimensional Titanium Dioxide Nanomaterials: Nanotubes
TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive and most up-to-date view of the field of anodic TiO2 nanotube arrays is given, with an emphasis on the currently most investigated nanotubular anodic nanotubes arrays.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast growth of highly ordered anodic TiO2 nanotubes in lactic acid electrolytes.
TL;DR: It is shown that fully functional self-organized TiO(2) nanotube layers can be electrochemically grown with an unprecedented growth rate if lactic acid (LA) is used as an additive during anodization.
