Reduced Graphene Oxide Paper: Fabrication by a Green Thermal Reduction Method and Preliminary Study of its In Vitro Cytotoxicity
TL;DR: Step-by-step thermal reduction method of preparing reduced graphene oxide (rGO) film directly on various substrates at low heating temperature without requiring any chemical reduction agent like hydrazine or other reductants is reported, confirming that rGO film produced by the green reduction method is cytocompatible with mammalian cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Postembedding Decalcification of Mineralized Tissue Sections Preserves the Integrity of Implanted Biomaterials and Minimizes Number of Experimental Animals.
Thaqif El Khassawna,Diaa Eldin S. Daghma,Sabine Stoetzel,Seemun Ray,Stefanie Kern,Deeksha Malhan,Volker Alt,Ulrich Thormann,Anja Henß,Marcus Rohnke,Annette Stengel,Fathi Hassan,Stefan Maenz,Klaus D. Jandt,M. Diefenbeck,Matthias Schumacher,Michael Gelinsky,Katrin S. Lips,Christian Heiss +18 more
TL;DR: The study offers a novel approach that incites correlative analysis on the same sample and reduces the number of processed samples whether clinical biopsies or experimental animals and resulted in well-preserved sample and biomaterials integrity.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D model of intra-yarn fiber volume fraction gradients of woven fabrics
Mike Mühlstädt,Wolfgang Seifert,Matthias M. L. Arras,Stefan Maenz,Klaus D. Jandt,Jörg Bossert +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D description of the intra-yarn fiber volume fraction gradients within laminated plain woven fabrics (PWF) have been investigated sufficiently to consider their effect in laminated strength predictions.

Calcium phosphate based delivery of growth and differentiation factors to compromised bone
R. Venbrocks,Raimund W. Kinne,Klaus D. Jandt,Jörg Bossert,Peter Hortschansky,Klaus D. Schmuck +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of growth and differentiation factors (GDF) and their uses in bone regeneration and preventive treatment, in particular of osteoporotic bone, are disclosed.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro analysis of biopolymer coating with glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane on hernia meshes.
Steffen Metzler,Sergiy Zankovych,Falk Rauchfuß,Yves Dittmar,Karin Jandt,Klaus D. Jandt,Utz Settmacher,H. Scheuerlein +7 more
TL;DR: The present results show that GOPS coating of hernia meshes is feasible and effective, and is a promising material that warrants further research as coating of medical implants.
