An illumination light source includes: a light-emitting unit; a disturbance detecting unit which detects a specific disturbance; a timer circuit that times a first period and a second period, the first period starting from when the disturbance detecting unit detects the specific disturbance, a second period immediately following after the first period; and a driving circuit that turns ON the light-emitting unit at a start of the first period, causes the light-emitting unit to emit light during the first period, causes the light-emitting unit to emit light that is different from the light emitted during the second period, and turns OFF the light-emitting unit at an end of the second period.

By doping an organic compound functioning as an electron donor (hereinafter referred to as donor molecules) into an organic compound layer contacting a cathode, donor levels can be formed between respective LUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) levels between the cathode and the organic compound layer, and therefore electrons can be injected from the cathode, and transmission of the injected electrons can be performed with good efficiency. Further, there are no problems such as excessive energy loss, deterioration of the organic compound layer itself, and the like accompanying electron movement, and therefore an increase in the electron injecting characteristics and a decrease in the driver voltage can both be achieved without depending on the work function of the cathode material.

A method for producing a vehicle wheel comprises the steps of: (a) providing a wheel including an outboard face; (b) providing a wheel cover including an inner surface; (c) providing an external surface feature on at least one of the outboard face of the wheel and the inner surface of the cover; (d) positioning the wheel and the cover relative to one another to form a first gap between at least selected portions of the wheel outboard face of the cover inner surface and to form at least a second gap in the area of the external surface feature between adjacent surfaces of the wheel and the wheel cover, the first gap to the second gap defining an indirect flow path; and (e) securing the cover to the wheel by using an expandable foam adhesive material, wherein the adhesive material initially fills selected portions of the first gap and then follows the indirect flow path to then flow into the second gap whereby the adhesive material cures and stops expanding before completely filling the second gap.

Vehicle wheel cover retention system and method for producing same

A forward facing sensing system comprises a windshield electronics module disposed in the interior cabin of a vehicle at and behind the windshield. A radar sensor device is disposed within the windshield electronics module and a forward facing image sensor is disposed within the windshield electronics module, and with both disposed behind or adjacent to an upper region of the windshield. A control comprising an image processor analyzes images captured by the forward facing image sensor in order to, at least in part, detect an object present forward of the vehicle in its direction of forward travel. The radar sensor device may utilize beam aiming or beam selection or may utilize digital beam forming or digital beam steering or may comprise an array antenna or a phased array antenna or the forward facing image sensor may comprise a pixelated imaging array sensor. The radar sensor device comprises a silicon germanium radar sensor.

Forward facing sensing system for vehicle

An image sensor module A1 includes a case 300, a photoelectric converter 400 positioned within the case 300, and first and second optical units 100, 200 for forming an image of a subject on the light-receiving surface of the photoelectric converter 400. Imaging of the subject using the first optical unit 100, or imaging of the subject using the second optical unit 200, can be selected. It is possible to conduct a plurality of types of imaging each having a different view angle, while restricting increases in size and cost.

The wave-transmitting cover comprises a transparent resin layer, a base layer and a decorative layer, and the decorative layer contains a lustered piece. The method for producing it comprises a film-forming step of forming a film that has a print face and a deposition design face formed thereon, a shaping step of shaping the film, a first molding step of molding one of a transparent resin layer or a base layer thereon to give a first molded part, and a second molding step of forming the other of the transparent resin layer or the base layer on a surface of the first molded part where the film is provided.

A garnish light alloy wheel includes a light alloy wheel and a garnish. The light alloy wheel includes an outboard surface and a recess located at a portion of the light alloy wheel including a spoke portion. The recess recedes from the outboard surface of the light alloy wheel. The garnish is manufactured separately from the light alloy wheel and is exchangeably mounted to the light alloy wheel at the recess. The light alloy wheel and the garnish construct a design surface of the garnish light alloy wheel, and the garnish has an outboard surface constructing a portion of the design surface of the garnish light alloy wheel.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a most part of a light emitted from a light emitting element to be effectively used in a light emitting diode. SOLUTION: The LED 1 comprises six light emitting elements 2 mounted on a base board 2a, a cylindrical case 3 made of a transparent material provided on a periphery of the element 2 so that the upper surface of the case 3 is formed in an inverted truncated conical shape on the upper surface of the case 3. The LED 1 further comprises an aluminum plate 4 having a high reflectance factor and adhered to an oblique part of the case 3, and not adhered to a horizontal part of a center. When the six elements 2 are emitted, the lights directed toward the center of the case 3 are radiated forward as they are through a transmission window 3a, and the lights directed toward the oblique part on which the plate 4 is adhered is reflected on the backward reflecting surface 4a of the lower surface of the plate 4 and radiated obliquely backward through the side face of the case 3. Thus, the light radiated forward through the window 2 and the light reflected on the surface 4a and radiated obliquely backward are all delivered and controlled only in an effective direction. A vehicle exterior component includes an unwoven fabric having a noise absorbing function and an additional layer attached to the unwoven fabric. The unwoven fabric includes main fibers and binder fibers. The melting point of the binder fibers is lower than that of the main fibers. The unwoven fabric further includes a mesh structure in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined and welded to each other. The mesh structure is obtained by pressing a fiber web in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined. The unwoven fabric is formed into a predetermined outer shape. The additional layer has a function other than the noise absorbing function.

Vehicle exterior component

A reinforcement rib is provided at the reverse side of the elongated side molding in longitudinal direction and a portion of the reinforcement rib is elevated to form a welding rib. In the clip as an attachment member, a rib hole is provided for inserting the welding rib therein and the open side of the rib hole from which the welding rib is projecting is formed with a larger bore. The side molding body is integrally formed with the attachment member by housing a dislocation preventing portion formed by heat riveting a tip end of the welding rib inserted into the rib hole of the attachment member. Thus integrated side molding with the attachment member is attached to the outer panel of the vehicle by the leg portion provided at the attachment member.
