The National Asthma Survey--New York State: association of the home environment with current asthma status.
TL;DR: Many asthma triggers were as prevalent or more so in the homes of New Yorkers with asthma as compared with control households, and public health interventions in NYS should focus on educating households about potential asthma triggers and their sources and teach methods to prevent, reduce, or eliminate them.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differences in HIV-Specific T Cell Responses between HIV-Exposed and -Unexposed HIV-Seronegative Individuals†
Adam J. Ritchie,Suzanne Campion,Jakub Kopycinski,Zoe Moodie,Z. Maggie Wang,Kruti Pandya,Stephen Moore,Michael K. P. Liu,Simon Brackenridge,Kristin Kuldanek,K. Legg,Myron S. Cohen,Eric Delwart,Barton F. Haynes,Sarah Fidler,Andrew J. McMichael,N Goonetilleke +16 more
TL;DR: The significantly greater T cell responses in HESNs, including in two who were homozygous for CCR5Δ32, demonstrates that HIV-1-specific Tcell responses can be induced or augmented by exposure to HIV- 1 without infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exact tests for singular network data
Ian H. Dinwoodie,Kruti Pandya +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a methodology for exact statistical tests of hypotheses for models of network dynamics, which formulates Markovian exponential families, then uses sequential importance sampling to compute expectations within basins of attraction and within level sets of a sufficient statistic for an over-dispersion model.
