Synthesis, Luminescence, Electrochemistry, and Ion-Binding Studies of Platinum(II) Terpyridyl Acetylide Complexes
TL;DR: A series of platinum terpyridyl acetylide complexes, [Pt(trpy)(C⋮CR)]PF6 (R = C6H5,C6H4Cl-4, C 6H4OCH3-4 and C 6 H4NO2-4), have been synthesized and characterized in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Organic light-emitting materials based on bis(arylacetylide)platinum(II) complexes bearing substituted bipyridine and phenanthroline ligands: photo- and electroluminescence from 3MLCT excited states.
TL;DR: The synthesis and photophysical and electroluminescent properties for a series of platinum(II) alpha-diimine bis(arylacetylide) complexes and the impact of different solvents, substituents on the diimine ligands, and complex concentrations upon their emissive behavior have been examined and demonstrates that their emission energies can be systematically modified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic evidence for argentophilicity in structurally characterized luminescent binuclear silver(I) complexes
Chi-Ming Che,Man-Chung Tse,Michael C. W. Chan,Kung-Kai Cheung,and David Lee Phillips,King-Hung Leung +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a spectroscopic and structural investigation of binuclear silver(I) complexes supported by aliphatic phosphine ligands, namely [Ag(PCy3)(O2CCF3)]2 (1), [Ag2(μ-dcpm)2]X2 (X = CF3SO3, 2; PF6, 3; dcpm = bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)methane), and [Ag 2(mdcpm)(μ-O2ccF3] (4), is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Luminescent platinum(II) complexes. Electronic spectroscopy of platinum(II) complexes of 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (terpy) and p-substituted phenylterpyridines and crystal structure of [Pt(terpy)CI][CF3SO3]
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectroscopic and emission properties of the complex [Pt(terpy)L′]n+ have been studied and their absorption bands are found at 300-350 nm and 370-450 nm, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
