A flat soft magnetic metal powder is provided that includes: Ni in the range of 60 to 90 mass %, one or more kinds of Nb, V, and Ta in the range of 0.05 to 20 mass % in total (0.05 to 19.95 mass % when Mo is added thereto), Mo in the range of 0.05 to 10 mass % if necessary, one or two kinds of Al and Mn in the range of 0.01 to 1 mass % in total if necessary, and the balance including Fe; an average grain size of 30 to 150 μm and an aspect ratio (average grain size/average thickness) of 5 to 500; and a flat face. Here, with a peak intensity of a face index (220) in an X-ray diffraction pattern I220 and a peak intensity of a face index (111) I111, a peak intensity ratio I220/I111 is in the range of 0.1 to 10.

An Fe-Ni-Mo flaky metal soft magnetic powder having a component composition of, in percent by mass: Ni=60-90; Mo=0.05-1.95; and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, an average particle size of 30-150 μm, and a flat surface with an aspect ratio (average particle size/average thickness) of 5-500. Under the condition that the plane including the direction in which X-rays enters and the direction of diffraction is perpendicular to the flat surface of the flaky metal soft magnetic powder, and the angle between the X-ray entrance direction and the flat surface is equal to the angle between the diffraction direction and the flat surface, the X-ray diffraction pattern is measured. The peak intensity ratio I200/I111 is in the range from 0.43 to 10 where I200 is the peak height of the face index (200) of the X-ray diffraction pattern and I111 is the peak height of the face index (111) thereof. Further, an oxide film coated flaky metal soft magnetic powder in which an oxide film with a thickness of 50-1000 u is formed on the surface of each particle of the powder.

SOLUTION: In a choke coil 80, a conductor 82 formed in a coil shape is buried into the dust core 81. The dust core 81 has: a body section 811 positioned inside and a coating section 812 provided so that the body section 811 is covered entirely. The body section 811 is composed of a pressurized forming body, where first soft magnetic powder composed of a first Fe-based alloy is bound by a binder. The coating section 812 is composed of a pressurized forming body, where second soft magnetic powder composed of a second Fe-based alloy in which Cr is added to the first Fe-based alloy with a ratio of 4-20 wt.% is bound by a binder. A magnetic powder is represented by general formula Fe a (Si b B c P d ) 100-a , and is produced with a gas atomization method. When the value of a and the value of b in the general formula is represented (a, b), (a, b) is within a predetermined region V1. Similarly, (a, c) and (a, d) are within a predetermined region, respectively. Whereby, it is possible to obtain an alloy magnetic powder which has high saturation magnetic flux density, low magnetic loss, and is spherical and easy to handle; and a magnetic core, a variety of coil components, and a motor can be realized by using the magnetic material.

The invention provides an Fe—Ni—Mo soft magnetic flaky powder having a component composition of, in percent by mass, Ni: 60 to 90%, Mo: 0.05 to 1.95%, and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a flat surface of an average particle size of 30 to 150 μm, and an aspect ratio (average particle size /average thickness) of 5 to 500; and having a peak intensity ratio I 200 /I 111 within a range between 0.43 and 10, where I 200 is the peak height of the face index (200) and I 111 is the peak height of the face index (111), in an X-ray diffraction pattern measured in such a manner that the plane including the X-ray incident direction and the diffraction direction is perpendicular to the flat surface of the soft magnetic flaky powder, and the angle between the incident direction and the flat surface is equal to the angle between the diffraction direction and the flat surface. Furthermore, the invention provides a soft magnetic flaky powder with oxide layer wherein an oxide layer of a thickness of 50 to 1000 Å is formed on the surface of this soft magnetic flaky powder.
