5-axis micro milling machine for machining micro parts

TL;DR: In this paper, a PC-based 5-axis micro milling machine is presented for machining micro-sized parts, which can be easily constructed and used for manufacturing 3D micro parts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Berberine inhibits growth of the breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231.

TL;DR: Results demonstrate that treatment with berberine inhibits growth in both MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cells, and show that this partly occurs through the induction of apoptosis in MDA, MB-231 cells, as well as through both cell cycle arrest and induction of oxidative stress in MCF, indicating that berberines may be a novel therapeutic drug for breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deep tissue photoacoustic imaging of nickel(II) dithiolene-containing polymeric nanoparticles in the second near-infrared window.

TL;DR: The results prove that with strong absorption in the NIR-II window and with deeper imaging depth, the clinical translation of photoacoustic imaging with NiPNP is feasible for preclinical studies and thus would facilitate further clinical investigations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water-soluble genistin glycoside isoflavones up-regulate antioxidant metallothionein expression and scavenge free radicals

TL;DR: It was found that both genistin and its glycosides similarly up-regulated the transcription of several metallothionein antioxidant genes, as well as the glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase gene in HepG2 cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructural evolution and dielectric properties of Cu-deficient and Cu-excess CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructural evolution and dielectric properties of CaCu 3− x Ti 4 O 12− x (3 −− ǫ x ) = 2.8-3.05 were investigated.
