Enhanced Detection of Viable Myocardium by Technetium-99m-MIBI Imaging after Nitrate Administration in Chronic Coronary Artery Disease
Simone Maurea,Alberto Cuocolo,Andrea Soricelli,L Castelli,Antonio Nappi,Fiorenzo Squame,Massimo Imbriaco,Bruno Trimarco,Marco Salvatore +8 more
TL;DR: In patients with chronic ischemic LV dysfunction, nitrate administration improved the detection of severely hypoperfused but still viable myocardium on 99mTc-MIBI images.
Journal Article
Myocardial viability index in chronic coronary artery disease: technetium-99m-methoxy isobutyl isonitrile redistribution.
Simone Maurea,Alberto Cuocolo,Andrea Soricelli,L Castelli,Fiorenzo Squame,Massimo Imbriaco,N. De Luca,Bruno Trimarco,Marco Salvatore +8 more
TL;DR: In the eight patients studied before and after revascularization, 83% of segments with 99mTc-MIBI redistribution and abnormal LV function showed functional recovery after rev vascularization, while 96% of segment without 99m Tc- MIBI redistribution did not show functional recovery.
Journal Article
Adenosine technetium-99m-methoxy isobutyl isonitrile myocardial tomography in patients with coronary artery disease : comparison with exercise
Alberto Cuocolo,Andrea Soricelli,Leonardo Pace,Emanuele Nicolai,L Castelli,Antonio Nappi,Massimo Imbriaco,Carmine Morisco,Peter J. Ell,Marco Salvatore +9 more
TL;DR: Despite different hemodynamic effects, adenosine and exercise 99mTc-MIBI SPECT imaging provide similar information in the diagnosis and localization of CAD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Management of patients with ovarian cancer using monoclonal antibodies
S. Lastoria,N. Panza,Giuseppe Esposito,E. Vergara,L Castelli,Corradina Caraco,C Battista,G. Pacilio,M Salvatore +8 more
TL;DR: Radioimmunoscintigraphy has been found to be more reliable than CT and US to detect foci of disease mainly in patients already treated by surgery, overcoming all the problems usually encountered with these two procedures.
Journal Article
Magnetic resonance in the study of suprarenal neoplasms. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of signal intensity
Simone Maurea,Corradina Caracò,L Castelli,S Filice,B. Alfano,F Ruffolo,Mario Ziviello,Marco Salvatore +7 more
TL;DR: The qualitative analysis of MR SI on conventional T1 and T2 images does not permit to differentiate adrenal masses, and qualitative evaluation of T1 images after Gd-DTPA administration, the quantitative analysis and CS sequences are technical options improving lesion characterization.
