Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and serotonin 5-HT2c receptor activity of ortho- and meta-substituted phenylpiperazines

TL;DR: The hypothesis that the conformation for which the piperazine ring and the phenyl ring are approximately co-planar should be the 5-HT2C receptor 'activating' conformation is used to predict the activities of the two novel 5- HT2C ligands oMPP and mMPP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaction of lithioalkoxyallenes with isothio-cyanates: Synthesis of pyrroles and 5,6-dihydropyridines

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel synthesis route for 2,3-disubstituted pyrroles and 5,6-dihydropyridines, starting from lithiated alkoxyallenes, and organic isothiocyanates, was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

New synthesis of quinolines from lithiated allenes and isothiocyanates

TL;DR: In this article, a new route for the synthesis of quinolines based on the reaction of lithiated allenes with phenyl isothiocyanate was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dramatic acceleration of alkylation reactions with organolithium compounds by potassium tert-butoxide.

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of organolithium compounds with alkyl halides and with epoxides was accelerated by adding equivalent amounts of potassium tert-butoxide, and the reaction was shown to be reversible.
