Journal ArticleDOI

Complete isochromosome 5p in one fetus of a monochorionic twin pair

TL;DR: The patient was a 23-year old, gravida 1 para 0, with a known monochorionic (MC) twin gestation, who presented for first trimester screening at 13 weeks of gestation and was offered chorionic villus sampling (CVS) of the MC placenta with a likely need for subsequent amniocentesis given the discordant features identified.
Reference EntryDOI

Nonretinal Ocular Complications of Diabetes Mellitus

TL;DR: All structures of the eye are susceptible to the deleterious effects of diabetes mellitus, and early diagnosis and treatment of ocular abnormalities, and patient education can mitigate many of these effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Guide wire assisted catheterization and colored dye injection for vascular mapping of monochorionic twin placentas.

TL;DR: A definitive demonstration of MC placental vascular anatomy is demonstrated and may be correlated with Doppler ultrasound findings and neonatal outcome to enhance the understanding of the pathophysiology of MC twinning and its sequelae.
