Journal ArticleDOI

Action of a homogeneous hydrogenation catalyst on living Tetrahymena mimbres cells.

TL;DR: Although some enzymatic retroconversion of saturated lipids back to unsaturated lipids appeared to take place, the scale of the conversion was small, and further experimentation will be required to understand the mechanism involved.
Journal ArticleDOI

The impact of dihydropyridine derivatives on the cerebral blood flow response to somatosensory stimulation and spreading depolarization.

TL;DR: A new class of dihydropyridine derivatives, which act as co‐inducers of heat shock protein but are devoid of calcium channel antagonist and vasodilator effects, are evaluated on neurovascular coupling in the ischaemic rat cerebral cortex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relation of Raman order parameters to spin labeling parameters

TL;DR: The rate of rotational diffusion, a dynamical parameter from spin labeling studies, is correlated with the lateral packing density as measured by the Raman lateral order parameter, and the obtained linear correlation is illustrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanotubes connecting B lymphocytes: High impact of differentiation-dependent lipid composition on their growth and mechanics.

TL;DR: Atomic force microscopic mechano-manipulation experiments proved that mechanical properties of B cell NTs also depend on the actual membrane lipid composition, and importance of the lipid side in controlling intercellular, nanotubular, regulatory communications in the immune system is highlighted.
