Composition and compatibility requirements of mineral repair mortars for stone – A review

TL;DR: In this paper, some mineral repair mortar design philosophies are approached, followed by the requirements set for a plastic repair mortar for stone, and an answer was found when examining several articles that discuss the compatibility tolerance plane.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prediction of Ground Vibrations Induced by Urban Railway Traffic: An Analysis of the Coupling Assumptions Between Vehicle, Track, Soil, and Buildings

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of ground vibrations induced by railway traffic and its modelling through a decoupled approach, using only the finite element modelling for evaluating the ground waves propagation are investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Refurbishment of existing timber floors with screwed CLT panels

TL;DR: In this article, a light and almost reversible furbishment solution for existing timber floors is proposed, which uses a top timber flange connected to the joists to build up a new composite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a Specific Finite Element for Timber Joint Modeling

TL;DR: In this paper, a finite semi-rigid element (FSRE) is introduced between the ends of the jointed members, which is then tied with common beamelements during the FE analysis.
Book ChapterDOI

Proposal of a CLT Reinforcement of Old Timber Floors

TL;DR: The solution developed in the present paper uses a Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panel screwed over the existing floor, keeping a small gap between the panel and the existing joists, which presents higher stiffness and the gap is used for horizontal line runs.
