Crowdsourcing usage, task assignment methods, and crowdsourcing platforms: A systematic literature review

In this article, we consider the system performance of an energy harvesting (EH) wireless sensor network in terms of reliable communications when subjected to a cooperative jamming attack. A set of strategically located nodes acting as cluster heads (CHs) transfer energy to the wireless sensors within range, forming a cluster. The sensors use this energy to transmit data to the CHs, which, in turn, deliver the information to a base station (BS) using nonorthogonal multiple access. The BS processes the collected information and synchronizes the operation of all CHs. Furthermore, there exist two adversaries, namely, a jamming attacker and an eavesdropper, who cooperate to attack the considered system. To protect against this attack, the CHs should be controlled by suitable power allocation coefficients obtained from the security constraints of the CHs. Using these constraints, closed-form expressions are derived to find the power allocation coefficients that will enable reliable and secure communication. In addition, we propose an interference channel selection policy for the sensor-to-CHs links and CHs-to-BS links to improve the reliability of communication while enhancing energy utilization. Finally, an algorithm for finding the optimal EH time is also proposed.

On Communication Performance in Energy Harvesting WSNs Under a Cooperative Jamming Attack

This paper considers the effects of perfect/imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) and perfect/imperfect ` information (CSI) in a multiple-relay two-way cooperative network using nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and digital network coding (DNC). In this model, a relay is selected by maximizing estimated channel gains to enhance the decoding capacity of the nearer source and minimize the collection time of imperfect CSI. Spectrum utilization efficiency is enhanced two times by a mixture of the SIC and DNC techniques at the selected relay (called as the SIC-2TS protocol). The system performance is considered through analysis of the exact and asymptotic expressions of the system outage probabilities and throughput. The major thing is exposed as the proposed SIC-2TS protocol can reach the best performance at optimal positions of the selected relay. Besides, the system throughput of the proposed protocol outperforms a SIC-utilized two-way relaying scheme without the DNC (called as the SIC-3TS protocol) and a conventional two-way scheme (called as the CONV-4TS protocol) for all signal-to-noise ratio regions. Lastly, the validity of the analytical expressions is verified by the Monte Carlo simulation results.

Cancel-Decode-Encode Processing on Two-Way Cooperative NOMA Schemes in Realistic Conditions

This paper investigates the outage performance of simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT)-enabled relay networks with the decode-and-forward relaying protocol, where the effect of the energy triggering threshold at the relay on the system performance is considered. The closed-form expressions of the system outage probability and throughput are derived in Rician channel fading. Monte Carlo Simulation method is used to verify the accuracy of the derived closed-form expressions. The effects of some system parameters on the system performances are discussed via simulations, which show that the system outage probability increases with the increase of the minimum transmission rate required by the users and also decreases with the increase of the energy conversion efficiency. Besides, the system throughput increaseswith the increment of the transmit power of the source node, as well as the energy conversion efficiency. Additionally, the outage performance of the system with the equal two-hop distance is better than that of the system with unequal two-hop distance.

Outage Performance of Wireless Powered Decode-and-Forward Relaying Networks in Rician Fading

In this paper, we investigate the physical layer security of cooperative two-way relay transmission systems using the amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol in the presence of an eavesdropper. A joint relay selection (RS) and power allocation (PA) scheme is proposed to protect the source-destination transmission against the eavesdropper. However, due to the high computational complexity, it is difficult to obtain the optimal solution for the system secrecy rate. Fortunately, an approximate optimal solution by using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is derived. In the simulations, we use random relay selection with optimal power allocation (RRS-OPA) and equal power allocation with optimal relay selection (EPA-ORS) as benchmark schemes to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms both RRS-OPA and EPA-ORS and significantly improves the system performance with low complexity.
