Journal ArticleDOI
Patient-controlled Analgesic Therapy, Part IV: Pharmacokinetics and Analgesic Plasma Concentrations of Morphine
TL;DR: The pharmacokinetics of ketobemidone were not influenced by the addition of a spasmolytic agent in the commercial combination ketobamidone preparation ‘Ketogin’ and did not differ significantly in these respects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regional jejunal perfusion, a new in vivo approach to study oral drug absorption in man.
TL;DR: It was shown that it was possible to establish a tight intestinal segment which behaved as a well-mixed compartment and the low perfusion rate of 3 ml/min was preferred, since it resulted in the lowest variability in absorption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Drug Equilibration Across the Blood—Brain Barrier-Pharmacokinetic Considerations Based on the Microdialysis Method
TL;DR: Investigation of the influence of different rates of transport into and out of the brain, including passive and active transport, on unbound brain concentrations and profile in relation to the blood concentration profile found non-passive transport seems to be the case for almost all drugs studies with MD so far.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clonidine antinociceptive activity: effects of drugs influencing central monoaminergic and cholinergic mechanisms in the rat.
Gudrun Paalzow,Lennart Paalzow +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that decreased cholinergic receptor activity enhances clonidine antinociceptive action on both medullary and diencephalic-rhinencephalic pain responses.
