The Nas Parallel Benchmarks

TL;DR: A new set of benchmarks has been developed for the performance evaluation of highly parallel supercom puters that mimic the computation and data move ment characteristics of large-scale computational fluid dynamics applications.
Book

Parallel Programming in OpenMP

TL;DR: Aimed at the working researcher or scientific C/C++ or Fortran programmer, this text introduces the competent research programmer to a new vocabulary of idioms and techniques for parallelizing software using OpenMP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Models of thermal relaxation mechanics for particle simulation methods

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative study of the simulation of molecular vibrational relaxation in rarefied flows by means of existing models and a novel phenomenological microscopic model is conducted; the improved technique iterates between translation-rotation and rotation-vibration exchanges; equilibrium is in this way promoted if the model for the latter process is compatible with quantized oscillators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lip leakage flow simulation for the gravity probe B gas spinup

TL;DR: In this paper, the lip leakage flow for the Gravity Probe B (GP-B) gas spinup system is investigated using a particle simulation code on the Connection Machine (PSiCM).
