Surface Fault Breaks, Aftershock Distribution, and Rupture Process of the 17 August 1999 İzmit, Turkey, Earthquake
TL;DR: The results obtained from field studies of surface fault breaks on land, aftershock studies, and analysis of complex teleseismic body waves of the 17 August 1999 Izmit earthquake (M w 7.4) indicate that the northern strand of the North Anatolian Fault Zone had been ruptured between 29.1° E and 31. 1° E, with a maximum total fault rupture length of about 200 km as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local and regional heterogeneity in MORB from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between 54.5°S and 51°S: Evidence for geochemical enrichment☆
TL;DR: Basaltic lavas from the southern Mid-Atlantic Ridge between the Bouvet triple junction at 54.5°S 1°W and 51°S, show a range in texture from aphyric to highly olivine or plagioclase porphyritic as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: The Earthquake Model of Middle East (EMME) project was carried out between 2010 and 2014 to provide a harmonized seismic hazard assessment without country border limitations as mentioned in this paper, which covers eleven countries: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Georgia, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria and Turkey.

Complex evolution of the Erzincan Basin (eastern Turkey)
Aykut Barka,Levent Gülen +1 more
TL;DR: The Erzincan Basin was initially formed as a result of a 4 km wide releasing stepover and a 15° divergence angle between segments 1 and 2 of the North Anatolian Fault Zone (NAFZ) along which the westward tectonic escape of the Anatolians Block has been taking place as discussed by the authors.
