This paper presents a mm-wave based navigation system capable of measuring and tracking a vehicle's position with centimeter scale accuracy. The system uses two 144 GHz transmitters modulated with 13 and 14 MHz tones combined with quasi-optical lenses to establish a mm-wave beam that defines navigational pathway for a vehicle to follow. The system is suitable for applications where precision guiding of small autonomous vehicles along a precise path is required such as navigating indoors or in cluttered urban environments.

A high-precision millimeter-wave navigation system for indoor and urban environment autonomous vehicles

The present invention discloses a domestic water carriage service robot system and a motion method thereof, belonging to the field of the domestic service robot. The system comprises an instruction receiving device, a master control system, a visual system, a navigation location system, an execution mechanism and an operation device for being remote controlled. The master control system is connected with the instruction receiving device, the visual system and the navigation location system, and the execution mechanism is connected with the navigation location system, wherein the instruction receiving device is configured to receive a control instruction; the master control system is configured to process the control instruction, plan and dispatch a task and control each system; the visual system and the navigation location system are configured for indoor navigation location and the identification and positioning of the task target; and the execution mechanism is configured to grab and dispose the task target. The domestic water carriage service robot system and the motion method thereof can complete a whole water carriage task after receiving a user's water drinking control instruction so as to provide better service for users.

Domestic water carriage service robot system and motion method thereof

With improvement in the quality of people's life and the change of their lifestyle, the demand for intelligent water dispensers is increased. This study, therefore, proposes to de-sign a service robot that can not only move autonomously but also serve people intelligently. In this paper, a solution to de-sign an intelligent water-dispensing service robot is proposed. A new integrated system architecture is introduced, and a two-stage localization, a novel method of indoor robot localization, is described to solve the localization problem of the robot. Ow-ing to the detailed description of the implementation, it is clearly indicated that the proposed solution is reasonable and feasible. Besides, comparisons of various indoor localization methods and indoor robot applications demonstrate that the water-dispensing service robot has advantages over the existing designs and application.
