Association between Wild Type and Mutant APC Gene Products
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that truncated APC proteins can associate with the wild type APC in vivo and that the first 45 amino acids of APC is necessary for this interaction, indicating that most mutant APC protein should be able to bind to wild typeAPC protein and perhaps inactivate it in a dominant negative manner.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mouse lineage that exhibits an autosomal dominantly inherited predisposition to multiple intestinal neoplasia (Min) was described and linkage analysis showed that the murine homolog of the APC gene (mApc) was tightly linked to the Min locus.
