Pre-inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi suppresses root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) on cucumber (Cucumis sativus)

TL;DR: A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the influence of pre-inoculation of cucumber plants with each of the three arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi Glomus intraradices, G. mosseae and G. versiforme on reproduction of the root knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Inoculation with the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus Glomus Intraradices on the Root-Knot Nematode Meloidogyne Incognita in Cucumber

TL;DR: The results indicate that inoculation with G. intraradices and P fertilizer confer tolerance of cucumber plants to M. incognita by enhancing plant growth and by suppressing reproduction and/or galling of nematodes during the early stages of plant growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synchronized Efficacy and Mechanism of Alkaline Fertilizer and Biocontrol Fungi for Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect and mechanism of alkaline fertilizer, bio-control fungi, and their synergistic application on control of Fusarium Tr4 incidence was determined, and the results showed that the synergistic utilization of the alkaline fertilizer and biocontrol fungi would raise the activities of peroxidase, catalase and superoxide dismutase in banana roots.
