TL;DR: The results indicate that the HCV NS3 helicase is unique among the RNA helicases characterized so far, and demonstrated that RNA helicase activity was dramatically inhibited by the single-stranded polynucleotides.

TL;DR: Ribavirin may significantly promote the T helper type 1 immune response in vivo, and, furthermore, the effect of ribavirin on IL-12 level produced by accessory cells may contribute to the T helpers type 1 enhancing effect.
