Journal ArticleDOI
“Off−On” Electrochemical Hairpin-DNA-Based Genosensor for Cancer Diagnostics
TL;DR: A simple and robust "off-on" signaling genosensor platform with improved selectivity for single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) detection based on the electronic DNA hairpin molecular beacons has been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA interactions with a Methylene Blue redox indicator depend on the DNA length and are sequence specific
TL;DR: A DNA molecular beacon approach was used for the analysis of interactions between DNA and Methylene Blue as a redox indicator of a hybridization event and the increased electrochemical response from MB bound to the duplex structure was consistent with the increased amount of bound and electrochemically readable MB molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and application of a triazene-ferrocene modifier for immobilization and characterization of oligonucleotides at electrodes.
Majken N. Hansen,Elaheh Farjami,Martin Kristiansen,Lilia Clima,Steen Uttrup Pedersen,Kim Daasbjerg,Elena E. Ferapontova,Kurt V. Gothelf +7 more
TL;DR: Electrochemical studies demonstrated that grafting through the triazene modifier can successfully compete with existing protocols for DNA immobilization through the commonly used alkanethiol linkers and diazonium salts.
