Formation of the third bodies of steel sliding against brass under lubricated conditions

TL;DR: A tribometer based on on-line and radio-nuclide technique (RNT) techniques is used to perform the sliding experiment of brass versus steel in this paper, where the microstructure, micro-hardness and chemical composition of the third bodies are analyzed by mean of the scanning electron microscope (SEM), focused ion beam microscope (FIB), transmission electron microscope(TEM), hardness testers and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Studies on viscosity reduction and structural change of crude oil treated with acoustic cavitation

TL;DR: In this article, the structural changes of crude oil components which were treated with acoustic cavitation catalyzed by nickel oleate were discussed, and the results reveal that cavitation effect can damage the wax crystal structure in crude oil, resulting in viscosity reduction.
