Kinetic simulations of stimulated Raman and Brillouin scattering of Trident short-pulse laser in a single-hot-spot

TL;DR: Yin et al. as discussed by the authors examined the SRS and Brillouin scattering in a short-pulse single-hot-spot at the Trident laser facility and found that SRS saturation is caused by electron plasma wavefront bowing and self-focusing from trapped particle modulational instability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cross-beam energy transfer saturation by ion trapping-induced detuning

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that CBET saturates through a resonance detuning that depends on the IAW phase velocity and that results from trapping-induced modifications to the ion distribution functions.
