The invention particularly relates to aluminum-silicon lightweight aggregate based on a low-voltage electric porcelain waste material and a preparation method thereof. The technical scheme comprises the following steps: by taking 40.0-80.0wt% of low-voltage electric porcelain waste material, 10.0-50.0wt% of fly ash and 10.0-30.0wt% of clay as raw materials, adding 400-900L of pore forming agent into per ton of raw materials, mixing, adding bonding agent accounting for 3.5-7.0wt% of the raw materials and water accounting for 11.0-17.0wt% of the raw materials, granulating, and molding; drying at 80-140 DEG C for 22-34h, and keeping the temperature at 1000-1300 DEG C for 2-12h, thus obtaining the aluminum-silicon lightweight aggregate based on a low-voltage electric porcelain waste material. The invention has the characteristics of simple process, resource saving and environment friendliness; the prepared aluminum-silicon lightweight aggregate has relatively high volume stability and compressive strength and relatively low volume density.

Aluminum-silicon lightweight aggregate based on low-voltage electric porcelain waste material and preparation method thereof

Waste foundry sand (WFS) accounts for the largest percentage of environmental wastes in the foundry industry and shows an alarming and continuous increase. The treatment of WFS has been investigated previously and mainly as building materials. In this work, the applicability of leaching hazardous WFS in the manufacture of porous thermal insulation material is investigated. Thermodynamic calculation and experimental investigation are performed to evaluate the crystalline composition, microstructure characteristic, strength, and heat-insulating performance, and leaching behavior. In addition to WFS, raw materials include plastic clay, kyanite, and sawdust. High addition of WFS promotes the densification and leads to the remarkable increase in compressive strength. Samples compose of 75 wt% WFS, 15 wt% plastic clay, 10 wt% kyanite, and extra 20 wt% sawdust have a maximum strength of 0.92 MPa and thermal conductivity of 0.11 W (m K)−1 at 200 °C. According to toxicity characteristic leaching procedure analysis, the target metal concentrations in porous material based on WFS are within the US EPA limits, which proves the environmentally friendly application.

New insight into treatment of foundry waste: porous insulating refractory based on waste foundry sand via a sacrificial fugitive route

The invention specifically relates to a sewage treatment biological filter material based on low-voltage electric porcelain waste and a preparation method of the sewage treatment biological filter material. According to the technical scheme, the method includes the first step of using 40.0-60.0 wt% of the low-voltage electric porcelain waste, 15.0-25.0 wt% of coal ash, 10.0-20.0 wt% of pyrophyllite and 5.0-15.0 wt% of clay as raw materials, adding 500-1000 L of pore-forming agents into per ton of the raw materials, conducting mixing, further adding 2.0-5.0 wt% of binding agents and 15.0-25.0 wt% of water, and then conducting pelleting forming, and the second step of conducting drying for 24-48 hours at the temperature ranging from 80 DEG C to 140 DEG C, conducting heat preservation for 2-12 hours at the temperature ranging from 800 DEG C to 1200 DEG C, and finally obtaining the sewage treatment biological filter material based on the low-voltage electric porcelain waste. The method has the advantages of being simple in process, capable of saving resources and friendly to the environment. Products manufactured through the method are large in specific surface area, high in mechanical strength, good in wear resistance and high in apparent porosity.
