Hydrodynamic Efficiency of a New Design of Half-Submerged Breakwater Compared to a Rectangular Caisson
TL;DR: In this article, the wave transmission, reflection, and energy dissipation characteristics as well as the hydrodynamic forces of two partially submerged breakwaters are compared, and a numerical simulation on both these shapes, at model scale, was carried out in two numerical wave tanks.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Progress in Coupling Potential Wave Models and Two-Phase Solvers With the SWENSE Methodology
TL;DR: In this article, the SWENSE method was extended to two-phase Navier-Stokes equations and a customized SWENSE solver was developed with the open source CFD package Open-FOAM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance of different techniques of generation and absorption of free-surface waves in Computational Fluid Dynamics
Young-Myung Choi,Young Jun Kim,Young Jun Kim,Benjamin Bouscasse,Sopheak Seng,Lionel Gentaz,Pierre Ferrant +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a set of existing wave outlet techniques which are commonly applied in free surface simulations using a viscous flow solver are compared for test conditions which include propagation of regular incident waves and damping of radiation waves.
